Working From Home
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic on March 23rd 2020, employers had to find a way to ensure both client needs and employees' safety were both being met. Due to this, many employees have since taken the work-from-home approach.

However, the dramatic change from the busy office environment to working from home has had different impacts on individuals.
​
People were so used to their being liveliness in the office and, if they were seeking help they could quickly shout over for support, however, with working from home technology services such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams have now since been introduced to communicate within your teams.
​
As a result of this, people have since become isolated from other social interactions and are spending every day often in the same room where they work and go to sleep.

Survey
Working from Home Survey
I created a survey on Microsoft Forms and asked employees who are working from home to complete this honestly and truthfully to ensure I could collate accurate results.
​
The survey contained 14 questions, which ranged from how it had affected the individual, their relationships, and was this a negative or positive change for them.
​

Results
22 Respondents took part and completed the survey. The survey received a mixture of results on how this had affected the individual.

​Only 18% of the respondents asked felt that working from home, had affected them positively.

Working From Home has affected some individuals' work habits. 50% of respondents said this had a major change.
​
Almost half of the respondents confirmed that working from home, had changed how they now have social Interactions.
​
When asked if they felt isolated from social interactions even with the advantages of Microsoft Teams and Zoom, there was a 50/50 split between yes and no.
​
55% of respondents mentioned they were less engaged when it came to team calls.
​
Nearly 60% of respondents stated they found it difficult to switch off from work after the working day had ended.
​
31% of colleagues said there was a work/life balance, 18% had said somewhat, and 50% said there was no work/life balance.
​
When asked if working from home had seen an effect on personal relationships, 41% of respondents said that they'd seen an effect.
​

When asked to rate if there was access to Mental Health resources should they require this, 50% of respondents rated this low.
